Before joining Experient, Monica worked as a Senior Sales Manager at The Northland Inn, an Executive Conference, for 10 years handling the Corporate and Association markets.  She received an Award of Excellence in 1996 as Manager of the Quarter as well as the distinguished CMP Sales Manager of the Year Award in 1995 within Benchmark Hospitality. Prior to joining the Northland Inn, Monica also worked in various food and beverage and sales capacities for The Radisson Riverfront Hotel-St. Paul, The Minneapolis Marriott City Center and The Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. 

Monica earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel Restaurant Management from the University of Wisconsin Stout in 1987.  She received her “Certified Meeting Professional” certification from the Convention Industry Council in 2003. She is an active member of the Midwest Society of Association Executives having served on their board from 1996-1998 and currently serves on the Annual Meeting/Expo Committee.   She is also an active member of the Minnesota Chapter of Meeting Professionals International having served on the board from 2000-2003 and has served on the Community Outreach and Government Advocacy Committee from 2000 to present. She also was a former member of the St. Paul Chapter of Executive Women International where she served on several board positions including President in 1999.

Monica is supported by her husband, Joe, daughter, Jordan and son, Benjamin.
