Conferon Global Services (CGS) Fills Key Roles in Reorganization

TWINSBURG, OH - Brad Weaber, Executive Vice President Sales and Account Management for CGS, announces multiple promotions in support of ongoing structural changes following the formulation of the executive leadership tier announced earlier in March.

Eighteen-year CGS veteran Teri Tonioli, formerly Vice President North Central Region, is promoted to Senior Vice President, Central Region.  Tonioli will remain in Chicago and will oversee the Boston, Atlanta, Ohio, Chicago and Deerfield teams.

The Western Region will be led by Gary Schirmacher, 10-year CGS employee, who is promoted to Senior Vice President, Western Region, from Vice President.  Reporting to Schirmacher are the Denver and St. Louis teams.

Jeff Fugate is promoted to Senior Vice President, Eastern Region.  Fugate, formerly Vice President National Sales will relocate to the metro DC area and the Arlington-based team will report to him on an interim basis.

The Frederick-based account management resources will continue to report into Show Services, led by Brian McAllister, Vice President of Show Services.

The National Sales Organization has been re-ordered to more clearly focus on CGS’ target industry segments. Susan Lichtenstein, former National Sales Manager, is promoted to Vice President, Corporate Markets, and will lead the Corporate-meeting-focused sales team.

Former National Sales Manager Terence Donnelly is promoted to Vice President, Trade Show Markets, to lead the team focused on the trade show marketplace.

Bill Reed, former Vice President Mid-Atlantic Region, will lead the newly-formed Association Market sales team as Vice President, Association Markets.

Dee Johnson-Blakeney, 14-year employee and former Meeting and Event Project Manager, is promoted to Vice President, Meeting Planning to lead the Meeting Planning Group.  All Managers of Meeting and Event Operations (MMEOs) and their MEM and MEC teams across the company will report to Blakeney.

CGS is also pleased to announce that Mike Godsey, who left ExpoExchange in 2005, will be returning as Senior Vice President, Market Development.  He will focus on managing and growing our relationships on the exhibitor side and will also help support CGS sales and account management efforts for our largest trade show customers and prospects.

“We congratulate all of these leaders on their new responsibilities,” said Ed Shartar, CEO.  “These changes are the next step in our reorganization to streamline service delivery and highlight our strategic focus on being our customers’ best business partner.”

Shartar also said that the next round of announcements later in April will reflect the operational changes within the purview of newly-appointed COO, David C. Erich.
