Sales and Account Management Vice Presidents Named

Twinsburg, OH – Experient, the source for integrated meeting and event services, announces the promotion of five individuals to Vice President in the Experient Eastern Region Sales and Account Management Organization.

The newly appointed Vice Presidents are Susan Bennett, Laurie Trautner-Black, Robert Colvin, Mark Kennedy and Brian Duckett.

“I am pleased to announce the leadership and team members of the newly formed Eastern Region Sales and Account Management (SAM) team,” says Jeff Fugate, Senior Vice President of Experient Eastern Region Sales and Account Management. “This team embodies our values of leadership, excellence, responsibility, respect and integrity. They are dedicated to building lasting relationships with our customers by understanding their needs and business objectives.”

Bennett has been promoted to Vice President of Experient Sales and Account Management in Frederick, MD. She has been a member of the Experient family since 1993, serving as a senior project coordinator, before being promoted to director of national accounts in 1997 and most recently manager of strategic account sales and industry relations. She previously worked for the United States Army Medical Material Agency. Bennett is a member of International Association for Exhibit Management (IAEM), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and Meeting Professionals International (MPI). Bennett will lead a team of 8 account managers located in Frederick.

Trautner-Black has been promoted to Vice President of Experient Sales and Account Management in Washington, DC. She joined Experient in 1998 as a meeting and event manager before moving on to positions as an account manager and senior account manager. Previously Trautner-Black was the director of conventions and meetings for the National Association of Biology Teachers and has a BA and an MEd..

Trautner-Black and her team of 6 account managers will remain in the Experient Washington, D.C. office.

Robert Colvin has been promoted to Vice President of Experient Strategic Accounts in Washington, D.C. Colvin came to the Experient family in 2004 as a national sales manager. Previously he served as vice president of industry sales for hrttSolutions/Globetrotter Travel and vice president/general manager of PGI Housing Registration & Travel in Las Vegas. Colvin belongs to PCMA and IAEM, and has just recently received a Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) designation from IAEM . He is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Colvin will continue to be located at Experient Washington, D.C.

Mark Kennedy has also been promoted to Vice President of Experient Strategic Accounts in Washington, D.C.  Kennedy joined the Experient family 20 years ago as an account executive and has had division management positions in exhibitor sales and services and lead management. Kennedy’s office will remain in Frederick.

Brian Duckett has been promoted to Vice President of Experient Strategic Accounts in Frederick. Duckett joined the Experient family in 2005 as vice president, national accounts. He has 25 years of experience in show management for associations and private firms. Duckett was show manager/director for projects with Reed Exhibitions, Instrument Society of America, Advanstar and Penton Media, among others. He has a BA in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky and is a member of IAEM.

Experient Recognizes Top Suppliers and Employees

Twinsburg, OH – Experient, the single source for integrated meeting and event solutions, recognized the company’s best suppliers and employees during the Experient Annual Meeting in Denver Aug. 27 – 31.

Maria Grasso and Philomena Petro, CMP of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, Karen Holt of Gaylord Hotels, Tim Dyer of Davis AV and Rick Nelson with Hilton Sales Worldwide were named Experient Suppliers of the Year.

“Each of these suppliers have exhibited a tendency to always do the right thing throughout their partnership with Experient.  When faced with difficult situations and decisions, they’ve always risen to the occasion for our clients” said Scott Durkin, Experient vice president of partner development. “They are top-notch professionals and we feel fortunate to have them as teammates. It is because of partners like Maria, Philomena, Karen, Tim and Rick that Experient can provide the best event experiences in the industry.”

Grasso is Director of Sales, and Petro is Vice President of Convention Services, at the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau. Holt is Director of National Accounts at Gaylord Hotels.  Dyer is President of Davis AV in Denver. Nelson is Director of Worldwide Accounts at Hilton Sales Worldwide.

Experient employees, Mariann Gorman, Mike Sullivan and Donna Kastner each received the Experient Pinnacle Award for exemplary performance.
