Experient Hires Vice President of Government Markets
Twinsburg, OH Experient, the source for integrated meeting and event solutions, has hired Chip Smith to lead its government business focused sales team. Smith is responsible for presenting the company’s integrated meeting and event services directly to federal government agencies along with developing partnerships with federal contractors.
“Chip is a very experienced individual and will certainly help us reach out to and better serve more customers in the federal government event market segment,” said Bill Reed, Experient senior vice president, strategic sales.
Smith has occupied several high-level sales positions with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts over the last decade. Since 2003 he was director of government accounts for Hyatt worldwide sales and was based in Washington DC. Smith was responsible for annual increases in revenue and was involved in training hotel managers on government procurement procedures. As a result of Smith’s efforts, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts earned the Sam Gilmer Partnership Award from the Society of Government Meeting Professionals in 2006. He continues to be an active member in SGMP through the National Capital chapter. Previously Smith was a sales executive with United Airlines. His additional experience includes training in sales strategies and sales negotiations.

Experient Sales Network Names Central Regional Director
Twinsburg, OH Experient, the source for integrated meeting and event solutions, announces the hire of Kris Nitzel in the position of central regional director of the Experient Sales Network. This position was formerly held by Andy Smith who is now vice president, Experient Independent Agent Channel.
Nitzel comes to Experient with a decade of experience in the event industry. Prior to joining Experient, Nitzel was vice president of strategic sales with OnVantage where he managed key accounts and was responsible for strategic planning and a 25% annual growth in the supplier sales division. He has been a member of Meeting Professional International for six years.
“Kris will be a strong addition to the Experient Sales Network’s leadership team. His industry background, knowledge of technology and familiarity with supporting independent contractors will be invaluable,” says Andy Smith.

Experient Hires Linda Brennan as Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Twinsburg, OH Experient, the source for integrated meeting and event services, announces the appointment of Linda M. Brennan, SPHR to the position of Senior Vice President, Human Resources.
Brennan comes to Experient from the SVP, Human Resources position at RSM McGladrey, provider of accounting, tax and consulting services with more than 7,000 employees in over 90 domestic locations. At RSM McGladrey, Brennan was involved in several key initiatives, including leading a HR merger team charged with on-boarding and integrating 2,400 employees, implementing a competency-based interview and selection process, championing the re-engineering of RSM’s recruiting function, and enhancing the project management competency of the corporate HR team through coaching and the use of professional project managers.
At Experient, Brennan will lead an HR team of 12 persons and will be responsible for all HR functions across nine regional offices. Brennan will be based in Experient’s Arlington, VA office but will travel extensively to all Experient locations.

Born and raised in the Washington, DC metro area, Brennan received her B.A. in labor studies and history from Pennsylvania State University, where she was Phi Beta Kappa; her M.S. in human resources and industrial relations from Rutgers University; and her post-graduate certificate in organizational counseling from Johns Hopkins University. She obtained her senior professional in human resources certification from the Society of Human Resource Management in 2001.
