Experient Promotes Bettag to Vice President, Association Markets
Twinsburg, OH Experient, the source for integrated meeting and event solutions, has promoted John Bettag, CMP, to vice president of association markets. Bettag is responsible for growing Experient’s sales in the association market.
Experient Senior Vice President, Strategic Sales, Bill Reed previously occupied the position of vice president of association markets until he was promoted last year. Bettag will remain in St. Louis, but report to Reed in Washington, D.C.
“John is an incredibly capable individual who has an expansive knowledge of the event industry and the association market,” says Reed. “He is the perfect choice for this important position in the company.”
Bettag joined Experient in 1990 as a meeting and event manger in the St. Louis office. He later became a strategic account manager, where he was consistently one of the company’s top sales producers. He has been director of strategic account management since 2001. Bettag received his Certified Meeting Professional certification in 1995 and served as president of the Professional Convention Management Association’s Heartland chapter from 1996 97.
