ROI of Virtual and Hybrid Events
At the Virtual Edge Summit, co-located with PCMA Convening Leaders in Las Vegas this year, the Virtual Edge Institute and ROI of Engagement announced the second phase of a groundbreaking research project on virtual and hybrid events. The purpose of the research is to demonstrate the success of investments in virtual and hybrid meetings and events and identify ways to improve effectiveness. The project will include post-event follow up that will measure session content, satisfaction/reaction, planned action and learning that took place at the Virtual Edge Summit 2011. Then, at approximately 90 days, participants will be asked to provide insight into application, implementation, barriers and enablers of success. More than a Salary Survey...
Because it was named “Senior Meetings Managers/Directors Salary Survey 2010,” we’re guessing that many folks did not fully read this report published in Corporate Meetings & Incentives magazine with assistance by NBTA Foundation and Financial & Insurance Conference Planners. Along with being able to compare where your paycheck fits in with others with the same experience, the report highlights the penetration of SMM and outsourcing practices within respondent companies. Most striking was the growth of SMM within organizations, with a little more than two-thirds (67%) saying they either already have a program in place or plan to within the next two years. “For most tradeshow and conference organizers, it’s all about the data. Particularly for larger events with sponsors and exhibitors with large budgets, the event organizer needs access to real-time data to make informed decisions and communicate effectively to their constituents.” So says the blog post of Terence Donnelly, CMP, Vice President, Sales & Account Management at Experient. Terence explains that the successful show organizer demands a more sophisticated registration solution that provides the advantage of accessing real-time information and transforming that data into information that drives business decisions.
