Impact of Rapid, Robust Growth of Chinese Exhibition Market Discussed

Recently Ping He, Director, International Market Development for Experient Spoke to More than 100 Global Tradeshow Influentials at the International Association of Exhibition & Events (IAEE) China Seminar 2007 in Shanghai.

This China Seminar was hosted by IAEE with advisory support from the China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). The speech topics were all Sino-US exhibition development related. Over 100 tradeshow organizers from around the world participated in this one day seminar and it was “acclaimed by attendees as one of the best education and networking events in China that they have attended” according to a recent press release from IAEE. The whole seminar aired on China Central TV Station (CCTV) channel 2 in August as the Chinese are very interested in tradeshow development in their country.

The program was well designed. The VP of CCPIT gave a keynote address on “Sino-US Exhibition Development: The Status Quo”. In his speech he emphasized the very rapid and robust growth that Chinese exhibition industry. He noted that the number of exhibitions has increased from less than 1000 exhibitions in 1986 to more than 4000 exhibitions in 2005.  His speech was followed by a US panel discussion of “The US Exhibition Industry: The Future Trends”. Our very own Ping He, Director, International Market Development was one of the panelists together with Chris Meyer (Las Vegas Convention Center Sales), David Weil (Smith Bucklin), John Mikstay (BPA Worldwide).

Ping He’s topic was Trends in Registration in the US. She kept her audience intrigued and focused on the Experient ACRM™ solution in the registration system. She was congratulated by many people in the audience after her speech including key leaders from major China tradeshow organizations and government entities. Ping has been successful in raising Experient’s profile both within the US and abroad in this business segment.

  • Integration with housing functionality
  • Self-registration on-site – expedites throughput, “Scan n’ Go”,  Alumni Registration

  • Integration with social network systems for pre-event, at-event and post-event activities between registrants and exhibitors
  • Web registration functionalities based on “suggestive selling” techniques – similar to Amazon.com
