Green Tip – How Print
Formatting Saves Reams

Today’s Green Tip comes to us from Michele Marsee, Director of Sales for the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. She writes in response to the “Change the Margins” tip in our last issue.

“To add to your green tip regarding margins, expand the thought to look at attachments in terms of format. I can’t tell you how many RFP’s are received where the format isn’t set for the average print task (i.e. Excel worksheets that are bigger than letter or legal, which causes a single page to print on multiple pages). Many often run with an extra blank page at the end, or that run with 1-2 extra lines on another page when a simple format change, going to multiple hotels throughout the world, could help save reams of paper. As technical as the world has become, let’s face it, sales people are not techno-geeks and don’t look at the documents’ format before printing. It would be a HUGE savings and conservation if everyone took a few minutes and re-formatted their documents to something simple (with expanded margins) and cleaned up to ensure that printing process doesn’t take up more paper than necessary.”

Thanks Michele! If you have a tip worth sharing please send an e-mail to eventroi@experient-inc.com. You could see your words of wisdom printed here in our next issue.
